About Farr Out

Farr Out is a Laser 28 one design racer/cruiser. She was built by Hedley Bewes in the Hamble in 1986 and belongs to Jez Rees, Steve HB and Stuart Riches. Most of our sailing is with Weymouth Sailing Club.

History - I think that she was originally a Dutch boat. At one time she lived in Jersey and then spent an amount of time in Oban, Scotland. When we bought her from Ardrossan on the Clyde she had been renamed "Tartan Pimpernell". We brought her to Weymouth by road in late June 2008 and gave her her own name back. Since then we've been gradually bringing her back to racing spec.
